  3. It’s beautiful, the only thing could annoy me is that the upstairs hallway window isn’t central to the walls 😩 I can’t wait to see it all finished, you going to do such an amazing job xxxx

  6. Open kitchen with island…DEFINATELY😊 have done this twice now and never regretted it…so sociable and handy for the extra space you gain! Plus the island is amazing for wrapping all your xmas presents on (saves the back strain) and awesome for playing table tennis whenever you may feel the need! House is looking good and can’t wait to see it finished ❤️ ps: the vintage looking floor tiles are beautiful x

  8. Had you thought about knocking the wall down between the kitchen and that extra big hallway bit? Then you could have a huge kitchen (with an island!) that is separate from the other two rooms. Or eventually you could turn one of the side rooms into a big kitchen, have the middle space as a dining room, and the other side room as a living room. Love watching these vlogs!

  9. Love love love the antique 'possible' porch/hall tile. Go for it!! You'll regret it if you stick to something plainer and wish you'd been a bit more daring at the time. Lisa Patton

  10. Definitely live in the space and see how it flows, besides making it nice enough to move into and feel like home there’s no rush. I feel like I need to see floor plans 😂. Tiles look amazing and let’s face it you either really do marble or you just don’t! Look at iamchoquette ….her bathroom is massively marble and looks😗. I totally love how it’s coming along and what I love about you is….this is all totally relatable, you’re just the same as us. X

  14. How much did it cost to renovate the kitchen and bathroom on average? Was it worth getting a preowned home rather than a new home regarding cost and space?

  16. Hi Kate, I would definitely advise tiles wherever possible. We bought very expensive oak wood flooring and we have had tiles. The tiles are just as good as new where the wood does need quite a lot of care believe it or not. Tiles are best-, at least that’s my view 😋😋😍

  17. I always thought I wanted a new build however the more I watch your videos the more I like the idea of renovating a place and putting my own stamp on it. I have a question for your Q&A: I know you said your dad is helping with a lot of the work but how did you know what tradesmen to employ to help? You hear so many stories of trades men doing bad job etc. Also I love the tiles for the porch!! I personally would say no to the white lightly marbled tiles for the bathroom just because like you said there is a lot of white.
These videos are my fave by the way I literally wish I could binge watch the whole thing!xx

Can't wait to see the finished project in the kitchen. Living in American I love when you call the fridge American..yes we do things big..just part of being a American I guess.

  27. Seeing Kate and Lily Pebbles do full extensive renovations I wonder why. Yes it will be nice but I would just buy a house which meets my needs in the first place. It would be a similar price and save all the hassle. I can't imagine doing all that work.

  28. Having an open plan downstairs was the biggest mistake we made, cooking smells on our furniture and having to listen to the kettle every time it boils! Never again, we are going to have another switch around to have a big kitchen diner but definitely with separate living room

You deserve to have a lovely home to live in knowing that you guys worked hard for it. It is starting to come along. Keen to keep watching and stay updated!! 😀
