What a great video. Thank you! I live in a big city without access to a garage/woodworking shop so showing the different options to get at the hardware store REALLY helps. I hope to see more similar videos in the future.

The primer you used is great. It will etch glass and tile. I actually used it on tile and it worked great! Glad to see someone sand primer and use proper brush strokes. Great job sir!

Love your video and changes….only question – why not paint interior of the cabinets too? Anyway, fabulous job, as always. Thank you for sharing and posting.

I have these exact cabinets in a 1939 home I've recently purchased in my town, and it really was great seeing a solid up cycle on them. Adding molding to the base and crown is genius and I'm outright stealing the idea.

Hey Jon, love your videos. I'm about to start the same project at home, aside from building new panel doors from mdf, I'm painting over the old face frames. I'm using the Insl-X Stix Primer and I also purchased the Insl-X Cabinet Coat paint. I was wondering if you had any insight on the Cabinet Coat product before I start.

What do you recommend for washing painted wood surfaces?

Bro, WATER based primer? Come on, that will never stick. Use a SHELLAC based primer like a Zinsser, then you can use a latex top coat. It will last for centuries. Water based primer won't adhere aggressively enough! The added trim is legit- but I also cannot believe you killed that gorgeous vintage copper hardware like that. I mean, if you wanted to end up with cheap looking black hardware, there's plenty of it available at Lowe's for $2 each. This kind of stuff is frustrating to watch. Whatevs.
