Kitchen Cabinet

Kitchen Makeover: Black & Brass

In this dramatic transformation, designer Charlie Coull overhauls a closed-off Victorian kitchen area and turns it into an open up-strategy place suitable for entertaining. See how black-panelled patio doors set the stage for the kitchen’s significant-distinction palette, whilst open up shelving in a mild oak end retains the accumulating area from searching way too darkish. Touches of unlacquered brass and all-natural stone will patina above time, shelling out homage to the home’s prosperous heritage. Plus, you can be impressed to perform host after you see the energetic dining area’s roomy communal table!

  5. Amazing work! Often times, black makes a home or space not look warm or welcoming. This definitely feels like a home yet very modern and stylish.

  8. I absolutely love it! The one thing that I would not have chosen is the table and I would have insisted on more seating at the island. Just love the black and brass ❤❤❤

  14. 🌸How beautiful!! Black cabinetry is definitely on my ‘must have’ list when I purchase my home. It’s sleek, classy, and as this video beautifully demonstrates, it doesn’t have to be dark and gloomy at all!!!🌸

  16. This is absolutely fantastic — the use of black, as well as brass and bright wood finishes (allowing for some white in the room) makes for a beautiful combination! 🙂

  19. The kitchen itself is gorgeous but I don't understand why everyone buys these beautiful Victorian homes just to gut them? Open concept always looks messy to me during a party. I like having a separate kitchen so that I don't have to worry about pots and pans and visual clutter while entertaining.

  28. Love the kitchen! I would not want stains to set in on my counter. That is not my idea on how my family can create memories. I am also not a fan of patina. I would definitely have treated countertops and a lacquered brass faucet and handles.
