  1. I love your kitties. When I was a little girl I lived in a very small town of 400. We had 20 acres around our big 3 story Victorian house. We were in the town limits too. So with so much room we had at one time 39 cats. A lot of them of course lived outside but our very favorites lived with us indoors. I love cats. But after I got married I had to get used to dogs. Our daughter was allergic to cats. But she could be with the doggies we got, Bischon Frise. They are small white non shedding doggies. But I found out they were just as adorable as my cats were. They now have all gone to heaven and we are now pet free. This gives us so much more freedom so when we travel we do not have to hire babysitters or bother our grown daughter with them. Again though I love your kitties.

  3. Wow! I am so happy for you! Your acoustics down there are fantastic! I would go down there before the furniture comes and sing my heart out! You know I did see a chair in the middle of the room….is that chair from this ship? I am so excited to see this done! Your home will seem twice as big as before with the basement done….( BTW: In the 50's and 60"s folks liked to paint their basements in gaming colors…the walls and floors to match their floor shuffleboard games etc…my grandfather did that) …my love to you! I wish I could help you paint! xxoo Susan

  6. Just wondering if that paneling will take paint easily …. I would think that you will need to prime first …. However you probably already know that….. It is going to be so nice when you have it finished… and yes that is a big job….. For me the hardest part is picking the paint color.. because I am so picky about things like that …..the color will be exactly right… I did my great room a few years ago and ended up with 20 different shades of yellow on the wall for a week before I decided on one…. It looks amazing now and of course I accented two walls in purple…. LOVE IT…. HeHe…. Don't work to hard…. Hugs … Shirlene

  18. Excellent job on this update. Seeing the transformation is outstanding. Have you thought of hanging carpet maybe on one wall to cut down on the echo. Yes…painting is very expensive. Doing it yourself is smart. Area rugs in the meantime. Great job I'm so proud of you. Thumbs up 👍🏼

  24. The framing looked wonderful. What a difference dry wall makes. Your basement looks huge! Nice to have more outlets also. I was watching Love it or Leave it on HGTV & I saw a toast color in a bathroom. I only can have the crappy off white paint you get from the apartments. I'm sure whatever color you choose will look beautiful. Can't wait to see it all finished with the furniture installed. Painting is fun. The professionals do get it done quicker with their spray painting. I can imagine it does cost a fortune. Don't wear yourself out! Much love, Lucy

  25. Looking great, Swoozie. Tons of outlets, yay! Ah…once held a painting party when a restaurant needed a fast paint job. Will work for pizza, LOL! I know the cats freak out & hide when workmen are there but HAVE TO investigate every single smell once they leave, hehe. You're going to be thrilled with your investment! Blessings! 30. I as am intrigued by your basement remodel as your cats!! I am a horrible painter, and do not enjoy it. The one room I painted was a small bathroom. Not a good story. But you, on the other hand have it all under control. I bet you did have a busy weekend painting. Looking forward to the reveal, Swoozie. Blessings, and love…MaryEllen
