  8. a better idea is to extend the shower to the edge. When I removed mine in the mater bathroom it had a tub like that and it looks like i doubled the size by removing the plastic tub that took up 2-3 inches of space then extending it it to the edge was icing on the cake to make it bigger.

  25. I used to do this for a retirement community, my way was much easier. I would cut the front wall of the tub down to 4 inches above the basin by 2 foot long, use the cutout material to make a reverse insert. Then install insert fiberglass, sand, use filler, sand then spray gel coat. Three hours max charged $350.00 per unit, I did about 100 over a few years after I got off my day job.
