Basement Renovation – Rest room and Moist Bar Rough-In

Orangeville, Ontario, Canada. Just passed inspection, plumbed to Ontario Constructing Code. In Ontario, PVC goes below slab and Abdominal muscles above. PVC to Abs Transition Cement is Lawful by OBC and which is what I utilized.

  7. I have to say a complete moron! First all the piping under ground is thin wall sewer pipe not schedule 40. sewer pipe is for storm water only. Second wet venting is not allowed on horizontal pipe. Everything needs a vent or at least a maximum 5 ft from vent. Transitioning between differnt materials even if a can of glue says it can is not allowed, should have used a mission coupling between pvc and abs. all the fittings with the exception of the ty is sewer pipe fittings Which is not allowed. the solvent welds look like you used primer and abs glue on them. My personal opinion this is an amature piss poor job. You cannot make chicken salad out of chicken shit!

  14. How on earth did you pass a plumbing inspection with a union p trap buried in a concrete floor? Totally illegal in ontario! And you put in a stack vent not a vent stack. Where is your 4 inch clean out? By the way horizontal to vertical? I believe what you mean is long turn 90 is important in vertical to horizontal. You would have failed if you drained your shower into the toilet drain. The inspector should be fired.

  23. Looks good. I can't speak for saw over jackhammer, though for me, the saw/shopvac combo did the trick.
I see a few people asking this here and I was also curious as well. How are you bonding the PVC to ABS?
