  2. IPC number 405.3.1 or irc 2705.1#5 states fixtures can not be set closer then 15in from its center to any side wall, partition or fixture that's why toilets are set right next to tubs. Again following the 30in space for a water closet. These are all national codes found in any basic plumbing code reference book.

  3. National building code calls for water closets aka toilet rooms must be a minimum of 30in wide finished by 60in long finished.
