  1. I love everything except for one thing.. I loathe it when books are used as props, learning is to precious to substitute a book for a block of wood..

  4. wow, love everything but the staircase change. The split living/family room can be a challenge and you pulled it off perfectly! It's fun to see panels and grasscloth inserts making a comeback!

  13. I really don’t know how y’all do it, but every design is fresh and new. It may have similar elements and colors, but I’m always amazed how each space is novel and unique to itself!!

  16. I realize this is staged, but while it looks lovely, I couldn't have that vase with the twigs on the coffee table in the t.v. room — If you're sitting on the sofa, you have to look between those silly twigs! That would get really annoying.

  19. LOVE everything you did, but be careful how you critique another era of design… that was once IN and VERY MUCH someones dream to pick it all 🙂 stating that its grandmaish would not be the best way to convey where it was and the AMAZING TRANSFORMATION. #gentle😉

  20. The original kitchen reminds me of myself when I first started playing the Sims and was trying to build stuff for the first time. The after photo is soo much better.

  27. Honestly, this is possibly the most stunning remodel / home styling that I have seen across your channel. The character your team has created, via texture, colours, shapes, and composition, is truly remarkable and a testament to S.M.'s interior design capability. You have created a beautiful home. Thank you for sharing.

  30. Question, I see SM uses lots of black window frames. I have cream frames but love the black. I'm on a budget. What would be your suggestion for these?

  32. This is my "house I would most want to live in" favorite of all the SM projects so far, though every new episode is my new favorite. I love love love the sofas that look as comfy as my old blue jeans. I see a lot of design that may look interesting now, but in 10 years people will be saying "that's so 2019". This one looks like it will still be a classic 50 years from now. Great job, especially considering what you started with!

  37. Would it be possible to include some night shots on your next reveal video? It would be great to see how the different fixtures you use light and influence the space.

  40. Very nice but it truly amazes me how aversive cookie cutter designers and home owners are to color and character. First on the agenda, sanitize everything to white or worse, get out the chalk paint. See something ornate, straighten it. Anything that has a history, replace it with a made in Taiwan knock off. Oh my god, there's a Persian carpet. Let's replace it with an IKEA wide stripe area rug. Art prints of old masters pretty much don't exist anymore because photoshopped flower multiples rule the day. Never the less, one should take comfort in knowing that killer whale prints and ladders as shelving units are relatively passe. Bland is the new black.
