  8. nobody puts laminate flooring in a bathroom , it will buckle with moisture, you should have left the tile, it matches the shower lol and way better for resale. plumbers putty is all that is needed for the drain too. the plumber ripped you off big time

  17. Wood laminate always looks good, but man I don't trust it on bathroom floors since in my experience they warp when wet

  18. In order to reach the full potential, this bathroom needs some RGB LEDs. XD

  19. Get some kneepads, Paul. You're going to destroy your joints without them doing floor-work like that.

Just fyi, there's also waterproof laminate 😉
I've done my bathroom with Quickstep laguna, a waterproof laminate with rubber spacers, giving it a marine-style look.
The bathroom was actually the most expensive room in my entire renovation, measured per square feet atleast 😉

  28. That is so weird that you don't have a sewer in your bathroom at the lower level. Here in Finland we always have a sewer in the bathroom even at the lower level if there's a shower in the bathroom. I understand that of course you have sewer for your shower under it but it feels weird that you don't have one at the same level where your toilet seat is.
Also personally I would have caulked all the baseboards around the whole bathroom floor and not leave any gaps there so water can't seap in from there in any conditions. At least that's what we do here in Finland.

  29. Never used the quarter round. Also consider shoe molding instead of quarter round, it looks nicer.
