I've heard nothing but bad things about this Rustoleum kit. Any update on how it's holding up?

so inspired! thank you – so happy to find a guru on yt that seems everyday normal and not super rich – so many gurus seem to live in mansions and have tons of money to shop. this is something we all can try – thanks again and God Bless!

How are the cabinets holding up? I'm thinking about doing this soon.

Two other vids I watched about Rustoleum said their cabinets required 4 coats of the bond coat to make the doors look good – whereas Rustoleum recommends two coats. Since this was uploaded in 2015, I'd be very interested in an update to see if it lasts.

It is not only remove the gloss ,you have to remove the grease that I'm sure every cabinet has in kitchen then sand it and apply a oil primer, to make the paint doesn't peel it it is a process that demand many days ,that product only works when people never cook in kitchen

My wife and I just used this kit with the same white color and man let me tell you it was alot of work. Just cleaning and prepping the cabinets alone took at least 3 hours. Then to unscrew and sort the nails and cabinet accessories took over an hour. We started the de-glossing process which took over 2 hours. After that, we starting the paint bonding process and that took us three days. After about 4 coats on most of the cabinet fram and about 5 coats on the kitchen doors, it looks great. We are currently finishing up the seal coat process now. I will say that this process is very laborous, time consuming, and can wear on your patience a little bit. However, if you take your time and, do it right, and be patient, you will like the final look and br glad that you saved yourself thousands of dollars and will love the transformation of your new reborn kitchen.

Your BEFORE cabinets look exactly like the ones I'm going to be redoing. Nice to see how good they can look! Thanks for doing the video.

Hello, thank you for sharing…you guys are a great team

Since they seem white/off white would paint work as well and cheaper? I plan on masking frame leaving door/drawers in place to paint then remove and do framework.

Thank you for taking the time to show us this process. One minor thing is that I had a VERY difficult time hearing your husband speaking. I had to go back and put on the CC option. 🙂
