What a great Reno love it

I understand that you do these renovations for those people with wealth, but it just seems so unneeded in a place like this. I understand a pre-war renovation, or even a renovation from the 70s and 80s, as some of those designs can be pretty crazy, but this apartment already seemed modern before. The kitchen looked very modern, and the bathroom too. I know it just wasn't to the new owner's tastes and I can respect that, but part of me just cringes at the waste of it all. We could be happy with so much less in our country, we have so much space that we don't need. I do like your work though, Paula.

The finishes on these renovations are top notch, I wish all contractors would give this much attention to detail. I have built and lived in four homes in my life, and when I expect nice finishing work the trades act like I'm asking for their first born. My hat is off to you Paula.

recently found your channel and I have to say I love your design and how you talk about the issues you had to deal with in the building and the board. That is very interesting. With this unit, I love the open kitchen design. Living in a (4) unit home in CT which cost about a 1/16th of what an NYC unit goes for, make you understand the reasons for the cost and the challenges you have to deal with to get the design you are looking for and the compromises along the way. Well done and do keep the videos coming.

I Love when Paula tries hard not to complain about the Building board. 🤣

This woman is just charming and her design choices are both beautiful and innovative, especially when she has to deal with uncooperative CO-OP Boards in New York.

Ahh, I think you outdid yourself with this one! You have a talented team of tradespeople to pull this off in 90 days. I'm sure your clients must be over-joyed with it all. Thank you for sharing it with us .. looking forward to another one ..

I re-watched this video 🙂 I can watch Paula's content forever and still would enjoy it. It somehow feels so familiar, so warm and fuzzy.

Best kitchen, beautiful
Tina Lawlor April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
Love listening to your nuts and bolts talk. Lovely design sense and problem solving
Patricia Crowell April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
You transformed and saved that wonderful bathroom. The vanity hardware is wonderful. The kitchen is the best I've seen that you've done. The lighting, glass cabinets, the gorgeous marble-looking slab, the flooring, just remarkabke. That lighting and marble is wonderful.

This woman is worth EVERY PENNY.
Tammy Mathis April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
When I see prewar in the title, I think I'm going to see great transoms, awesome crown moulding, amazing wood features, and personality. However, all of these are cookie cutter, generic, and boring.
Cross75 man April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
I'm beginning to get hooked on these videos.
Dan Kirchner April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
sounds expensive ?

Not sure which I admire more ~ Paula's design style & sense or that she truly loves her vocation & the work she does. We should all be so lucky!

ian1856 April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
Another great space, beautifully done. You're an artist and a craftsperson (Person? I'm not really PC, so if that's not right, screw it) Paula, the perfect combination.
Xomarah Dickison April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
That is one banging apartment, the kitchen is to die for, I love it all. I have watched all your videos and always come back to this dream.

I'd like to know the cost of your renovations.
Carol B 1412 April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
I really love this one, it flows so beautifully. Thank god you redesigned the big tv cabinet. The previous one was hideous.
Amy M. April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
Looking at the before pictures they spend lots of money on the previous reno….Some things in there were not too bad, buy yeah way too dark! Great work, Paula….Love your style. That apartment must have cost a pretty penny. Gorgeous!!
Lo Ro April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
I've watched a bunch of these. They're lovely, but they are starting to all look alike. Same colors, same radiator covers, same bathrooms, etc. I appreciate the effort of working around old structure issues which she seems to be very good at, but I bet I could walk into any of her make overs and immediately identify it as her work. Evidently that is what New Yorkers want.
M April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
Paula, I found your videos recently and I must tell you I love your design style. This apartment is spectacular–the layout, the finishes. Everything about it is so tasteful.
Therealmlw April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
I love this apartment, you do such beautiful work!
Clare Hill April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
I wonder what it looks like with furniture in place.

I am so enamored with these Pre-War restorations and am already thinking about my own dream apartment in an 1900's house in Berlin. I love your ideas Paula…:)
Carol April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
That is a huge kitchen for an apartment let alone NY apartments!! Beautifully done as always Paula!!!
tosheatower April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
Paula makes me want to earn enough money, just so I can buy a NYC apartment so she can renovate it 😝
Dathan April 30, 2020 1:36 pm
I love this light and bright restoration. Do New Yorkers not cover their windows?
