  1. Did you dig the foundation with a shovel or did you rent a mini excavator?

  2. Well, if you ever do it again, the things to do differently are; 1st use what is called a 3 knot brush. screw a handle in it and run a screw into the brush so it doesn't come off the stick when it's all gooey. Because it will come off at the most inopportune time. 2nd, it should take nearly 2 pails to do that much wall. 3rd, while it's still wet, bed a sheet of at least 4 mil poly into it, 6 mil is preferred. The poly should lap over the footer. If you are installing a footer drain, the poly should extend under the aggregate.

Now that you are at your forever home, you probably won't need to do it again. But then again, since you are never quite satisfied, you might just build a new home on that site.

All in all, it came out pretty goo for an amateur.

  29. Your videos always amaze me. I really like how you just dive into a job you've never done before and it always turns out looking great. Great work Doug and Ashley, God bless you and your family, such hard workers. If you have stain on your hands you can use hand lotion on them just let it stay on your hands for a bit and a little scrubbing and it takes it off pretty good. Great video as always.
